As fellow parents, we get that keeping your little ones safe and comfy is your number one priority, especially when you’re out and about. So, let’s chat about why we made the choice not to include car seat mounting in our double stroller.

The truth about car seats

First off, car seats are fantastic for keeping kids safe in the car—absolutely essential. Did you know that you might be required by law to have a car seat to even leave the hospital after giving birth? Car seats are crucial for your children’s safety, but did you know that using them for extended periods outside of your car is not recommended?

What the Research Says

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises that car seats should primarily be used for travel and not as a regular sleeping or sitting environment. Parents are encouraged to minimize the time infants spend in car seats, especially when not traveling. We recommended that you transfer your newborn to a crib or a flat-seat stroller as soon as you finish traveling. Newborns should spend a significant amount of time lying flat, particularly on their backs. This position promotes healthy development and reduces the risk of certain conditions.

Our stance has always been the same: Use car seats in the car.

Our Stroller Design Choices

We focused on designing a stroller that’s super safe and comfortable for your kids, no matter where you go. Our double stroller can transform into a bassinet by reclining the seat almost flat, which is perfect for naps on the go. This way, your little ones can rest comfortably and safely during walks and longer outings, without the risks associated with prolonged car seat use.

As previously mentioned, we understand the convenience of being able to attach a car seat to a stroller. That’s especially true when you’re making a quick shopping trip and don’t want to wake your children. However, for longer walks, we strongly recommend using our stroller in bassinet mode instead of a car seat.

Wrapping It Up

So, while car seats are perfect for the car, they’re not ideal for extended use outside of it. By choosing our stroller, you’re making a smart move to keep your kids safe and happy. We’re here to support you and your family’s adventures on your journey.
